Khal Ungvar – Privacy Policy

This website is the internal community database of Khal Ungvar. It is used only by the synagogue's administrators and gabbaim, who sign in with their Google account.

• What we access: your Google email address (to know who you are), the synagogue's own Google Sheet (to read and save the community records), and — only for administrators who choose to — Google Drive, to store original images and to share the synagogue's sheet with the people listed as gabbaim.
• Sending email (Gmail): when a user chooses to send a receipt or a message from the site, the site asks for permission to send email from that user's own Gmail account (gmail.send). It only sends the messages the user writes and confirms; it cannot read, change or delete any email. A short log (date, recipient, subject) is kept in the synagogue's sheet.
• Help assistant: questions typed into the "Help AI" are sent, together with the site's public user guide, to Google's Gemini service to get an answer. Users are asked not to include names or personal details in these questions; no records from the database are sent.
• Where data is kept: all records stay in the synagogue's private Google Sheet and Google Drive. The website itself stores nothing on any server; it runs in your browser.
• Sharing: we do not sell, share or transfer any data to third parties. Data is used only for running the synagogue and its organizations.
• Google user data: the use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used for advertising and is not read by people except as needed to run the synagogue's records, for security, or as required by law.
• Your control: you can sign out at any time and remove the site's access in your Google Account (Security → Third-party access). To ask about or remove your information, contact the synagogue office.
