Khal Ungvar (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit synagogue and its affiliated organizations) sends text messages and pre-recorded voice calls to members and supporters who have agreed to receive them.
Community announcements, prayer and event times, yahrzeit reminders, campaign and donation reminders, and receipts. Message frequency varies (usually up to 8 messages per month).
You join by giving your mobile number to the synagogue office or a gabbai and agreeing on the membership/contact form to receive texts and calls, or by texting JOIN to our number. The consent box on our forms is never pre-checked and is separate from any other consent. Consent is not a condition of membership or of making a donation.
Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages; you will receive one confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at khalungvardatabase@gmail.com. To stop voice calls, tell the office or reply STOP to any of our texts.
